Important information for Parents and Players

Bus Announcement

Due to the cost of buses for the program the TPW Board has elected to eliminate game day buses for all away games this season. The funds typically budgeted for transportation will be spread out and applied to equipment/uniform expenses for football and cheer. The only events that buses will be available for are the Umass Walk to Cure Cancer and the Local Comp held for Cheerleaders in Springfield at the Mass Mutual Center. Please note that the bus for Local Comp is a one-way trip. Parent/Guardians will be responsible for getting their children home at the conclusion of the event.

Equipment Care

Tantasqua Pop Warner strives to make sure that every player receives quality equipment. How you care for your uniform during the season is an important part of helping accomplish this goal. You can do your part by following these instructions when washing or cleaning your equipment:

Pads & Uniform

1) A cold water detergent is recommended.
2) Uniforms should not be placed in the dryer. Please hang them up to dry.
3) Do not cut pads or wash with the uniform.
4) Never place pads in washer or dryer.
5) When pads become soiled they may be hand washed with a mild detergent and air-dried.

Helmet

1) Never use any abrasive cleaners.
2) Never buff or sand your helmet.
3) Do not paint or alter it in any way.
4) Make sure that warning stickers are always clearly visible and legible.
